When we hear about caves, mountains, places where strange things happen, the imagination starts working, and then we can imagine all sorts of stories and things. And many might be true…

Did you know that Romania has a good number of mysterious places that put question marks even on researchers? Others are only fueled by staggering legends. But the thought “what if there is something outside our world” persists.

1. The Polovragi cave

Have you ever arrived at this cave in the county of Gorj? You knew what’s the story related to Polovragi? This cave is linked to Zamolxis the Dacian god. It is said that he had great power and could change his appearance from young to old at will. It recalls in different scripts, the dacians could cure that times diseases with a stone called “polovraga” disappeared now.

Cavers have found there old footprints from approx. 2000 years ago. In addition, it sounded that Polovragi cave is housing an unprecedented treasure, but that is protected by the curse of Zamolxis, various stories of locals stand as testimony, that they were going insane in time.

2. Old Sinca

Old Sinca is a small cave which can be found on the left after the indicator of Brasov, Sibiu way. The stories about this place are very interesting and provokes the curiosity of every passerby. Apparently it dates back to the Dacians, although some experts say it would be much older, approx. 7000 years.

Proof or not of the first manifestations of christianity, here are drawings unrelated to this religion. Here were seen glowing balls, were heard songs in an unknown language that seemed church , sung by choirs like spirit voices. It is also a place that has a strange energy that calms you without realizing how.

3. Calimani Mountains

You’ve probably been here for a picnic or even a mountain trail (has places worth visiting, such as Colibita Lake, Tihu Falls and others). But did you know what Calimani mountains is hiding? Was spoken about the mysterious inscriptions from here.

In the Haitii mouth at mountain feet, a villager found in 1987 some stones with strange writings and drawings, which were called megaliths. Experts have dated them as of the mid IV millennium BC. On these megaliths appear  solar symbols and one even looks like a UFO.

4. Sheperd’s Forest

Well, the things about this forest are a little more dramatic. People are advised not to enter the trees that have strange shapes, because they will never return. And some of them were not returned, were missing and so remained. After advancing into the forest, most villagers had testified that had physical malaise and incredible fear felt suddenly.

Others say they saw balls of light, shadows and unexplained silhouettes . Even a UFO appears to have been photographed hovering slightly above the forest. Photos have been extensively analyzed and there were no traces of forgery, being declared some of the best photos of a UFO ever.

Witnesses said that they saw around them traces on the ground or snow, but they weren’t moving from the spot, and plants and trees have burn traces and necrosis unexplained. Even the most skeptical people who entered this forest came back with their opinion totally changed.

5. Bucegi Mountains

In the Bucegi mountains were discovered secret tunnels, which apparently served as defense for dacians in wartime. Other experts say that here made priests their rituals, and of course, that here would be hide a particular treasure.

When measuring energy fields in the area, was seen that waves are higher here than in other parts. After all the research that have been made so far seems that the form of the tunnels, which are mostly in Transylvania, would have the form of a wolf which Dacians had as a symbol.

Besides these tunnels in the Bucegi Mountains, you may have heard that Bucegi were repeatedly called “gate to the universe”, “gate between worlds” and other. Was circulating rumors that Americans would have a great interest in the Bucegi area.

It talks about an area of approx. 20 km beneath Mount Omu and Sphinx, which are energy fields extensively studied.
